Day 1 – Arrival & Monkey Island: Welcome at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the lodge by boat. Settle into your private bungalow and take your first guided jungle walk to discover ancient trees and exotic wildlife. After lunch, visit Monkey Island to spot playful capuchins and squirrel monkeys. At night, enjoy a boat ride on the Madre de Dios River to search for caimans under the stars. Dinner and overnight at the ecolodge.

Day 2 – Lake Sandoval Adventure: Early boat ride to the entrance of Sandoval Lake, followed by a 3 km hike through lush rainforest. Canoe across the lake to see giant river otters, caimans, monkeys, and tropical birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time. After dark, join a night walk to discover nocturnal creatures such as snakes, frogs, and glowing insects.

Day 3 – Canopy Walk, Zipline & Kayak: Climb towers and cross hanging bridges 30 meters above the forest floor for breathtaking canopy views. Experience two thrilling ziplines across the jungle. After lunch, enjoy a peaceful kayaking session on the river, guided for safety, while admiring Amazonian birdlife. Evening night walk to listen to the jungle’s nocturnal symphony before resting at the lodge.

Day 4 – Morning in the Amazon & Return: Enjoy your last morning surrounded by rainforest sounds and wildlife. After breakfast and free time for photos or a short walk, return by boat to Puerto Maldonado for your departure by flight or bus.

Day 1: Amazon Welcome & Monkey Island

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at the airport or bus station in Puerto Maldonado, followed by transfer to our office for a pre-tour briefing. We then board a motorboat for a one-hour ride along the Madre de Dios River to our comfortable ecolodge. After settling into your private bungalow, enjoy a guided jungle walk to learn about the flora and fauna of Tambopata, where ancient trees, toucans, monkeys, and colorful butterflies thrive. After lunch, visit Monkey Island to meet playful capuchin and squirrel monkeys. At night, embark on an exciting caiman-spotting boat ride under the Amazon stars before dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Lake Sandoval Exploration

Wake up early and travel by boat to the entrance of Sandoval Lake. After registering at the checkpoint, hike 3 km through lush rainforest alive with exotic sounds. Board a canoe to glide across the lake, spotting endangered giant river otters, black caimans over 4 meters long, and an incredible variety of birds and monkeys. Return to the lodge for a hearty Amazonian lunch and leisure time to relax by the pool or simply enjoy the jungle ambiance. At night, join a guided night walk to discover glowing insects, snakes, frogs, and other nocturnal wildlife.

Day 3: Canopy Walk, Zipline & Kayak

After breakfast, climb jungle towers to reach a canopy walkway 30 meters high, surrounded by orchids, bromeliads, and nesting birds. Experience two thrilling zipline rides across the rainforest with breathtaking views. After lunch, enjoy a guided kayaking experience on the river, observing Amazonian birds and relaxing on calm waters. In the evening, join a nocturnal jungle walk to witness the fascinating life that awakens after dark, including owls, night monkeys, and insects. Return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Day 4: Farewell Amazon & Return to Puerto Maldonado

Wake up early to enjoy your last Amazon sunrise, photograph wildlife around the lodge, or take a quiet stroll before breakfast. After your final jungle meal, we return by boat to Puerto Maldonado for transfer to the airport or bus station, marking the end of an unforgettable Amazon adventure.
